2003 Strawberry Shortcake Makeup Line
This final portfolio project focused on identifying a problem and solving it through design and storytelling. I chose to create a 2003-inspired Strawberry Shortcake makeup line because there is very little merchandise available for that era of the character. While the 1980s version of Strawberry Shortcake remains the most recognized and widely merchandised, many of us who grew up with the 2003 version don’t have much representation for the character we loved.
This project allowed me to explore nostalgic branding, visual storytelling, and product design through a lens that appeals to both childhood memories and modern aesthetic trends. By bringing the 2003 version into today’s market in a meaningful and stylish way, this project aimed to fill a gap for a largely overlooked audience.
